Data protection policy

MKSAC needs information about its members in order to operate. This page describes what data we hold, why we hold it, and what we do with it.

Data sharing policy

We will share your contact details and qualifications with BSAC head office. This allows us to process your membership.

We will share your contact details with other club members. This allows us to arrange trips, share lifts, borrow equipment, etc. You can opt out of this at any time on your account settings page.

Other information will be used within the club in order to carry out the day-to-day functions of organising dives, training and social events. For example, the Diving Officer needs to know who eligible and qualified to take part in a particular diving activity.

It is the duty of all club members to abide by this policy, and use data only for the purposes for which it was provided. In particular, this means you must not use the membership list for commercial purposes or sending bulk emails.

After you leave the club, we will delete your personal contact information. We will keep other information where this is necessary to make sense of existing records, such as:
